Fox New is most distrusted news in America. Fox news is garbage their whole political agenda is biased, you'll never get anything that's factual from them. Only republican propagandaWhen Glenn Beck Attacks, Someone Could Get HurtTV and radio host Glenn Beck targeted Frances Fox Piven as an "enemy of the Constitution." Death threats soon followed.Piven is a professor at the City College of New York. Back in 1966, she and her late husband, Richard Cloward, wrote an article for The Nation outlining a plan to help the poor of New York and other big cities to get on welfare.
In their research, they found that not all the poor who were eligible to receive welfare actually did. They advocated that all the nation's eligible poor should apply. They felt such a strain to city budgets would force Washington to address the poverty problem.
Forty-five years later, Beck took to the airwaves of Fox News and his own radio program, warning the public about the obscure article.
"Let me introduce you to the people who you would say are fundamentally responsible for the unsustainability and possible collapse of our economic system. They're really two people," he said, "Cloward and Piven."
For about the last three months, week after week, Beck's been hammering away at Piven and her husband. From their 45-year-old article, he sees a vast conspiracy to overthrow the American financial system.
Theirs is a plan to "overwhelm the system and bring about the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with impossible demands and bring on economic collapse."
Beck says their approach is the main strategy employed by the far left ever since, applying it to everything from the Wall Street collapse to the health care law to climate change.

The corporations posted their hightest earnings in the last 30yrs, they did it with tax payer money and the false promise of creating jobs in America. Corps have created plenty of jobs overseas in that same time period. I don't believe i...t is the economy as in NYC everything is status quo but the leveraging power of the corps worldwide has declined because of our debt with China. It has taken away our power over the world and put it in the hands of a foreign entity. Our Billionaire's don't like it, it frightens them not to be in control of their destiny. So they have to compete, HOW? By leveling the playing field which means cutting out the American Working Class. If we can get rid of unions, work place saftey, EPA, Health and benefits then our corps can pay us 2 dollars an hour with no benefits and compete with China and India. Now we can cut them off totally and be the dictators that they want to be. They want to set the market, not some other country. Thats what it comes down to in a nutshell. HE REALLY THINKS THIS IS SO..BUT I don't think he is right ,,out of sight out of mind details are over looked,,and miss information is key on a lot of issues..

Norton, Corporation are made up of shareholders (people) !! They have just as much right to the Constitution as Unions do !!

Collective bargaining has made it impossible for the employee to decide if she wants to be in the union or not, o...r even if her dues go to slander her own husband who is running for office (as happened in OH) !! It forces the minorty employee to bend to the rule of the majority employee !!

Unions served their purpose in the late19th early 20th centuries when there were no labor laws and employees were abused by their employers !! And in the private sector if one wants (not forced) to join a Union i see no problem in it !! But Big Govt Unions who bankroll the Dem Party and then get support from them demanding more and more benifits from the tax payer, when the states are broke is a recipe for fiscal disaster !!

Slavery, the Civil War and the Confederacy are painful parts of American history that deserve to be remembered. "Those who don't remember the past are condemned to relive it." It's inappropriate to celebrate slavery. Will it happen? America has kooks who inflame religious hate with plans to burn the Qur'an, and other kooks who protest sexual preference at funerals of our fallen soldiers. It's freedom of speech, and it's not limited to the appropriate, empathetic or intelligent
The celebration is wrong and not in keeping with the spirit of this great nation.

The 800,000 jobs estimate--which is by the CBO, not the administration--reflects the fact that some people will voluntarily retire or reduce their hours because they no longer need to bust their asses to afford health care. It has nothing to do with people being laid off, and it's not 800,000 jobs in the health care industry, which is what Monica seems to have gathered through Chinese whispers. “IF YOU’RE going to negotiate, you’ve got to have something to offer. We don’t.” Thus Scott Walker, Wisconsin’s new governor, explains his refusal to speak to unions about an emergency budget bill that would trim the state’s contribution to its employees’ medical insurance and pensions.

The Obama administration partially rescinded Friday a federal regulation designed to address the explosive issue of protecting health workers who refuse to provide care they find objectionable on personal or religious grounds, replacing the rule with a new version.

On a typical pedestrian friendly Main St several issues are at the center. Is the Main St developent in a heavily density area such as northeastern US. In those areas, the shops will be fill in quickly. In other areas, where this concept ha...s flourished based on historical downtown development out west the concept does not work. There are several communities that have fallen into this type of development ideology that overall does not work except in certain historical areas or newly developed with increasing population density. Sometimes it is used to justify a dying retail area for economic development monies. Most of those small businesses do not pay but minimum pay wage, do not pay benefits, and have very high turn over in their personnel. Ususally only the owners will reap the profits. The money is usually made when the property is sold. Small shops cannot compete with large manufacturing or industry jobs or pay. Small mom and pop businesses appear to employ lots of family members to help keep the operating costs at a minimum. Personally, I don't have sympathy forthe small businesses that go bankrupt. That is just either competition, bad management, or not knowing their customers and service. In some cases, the smaller businesses may comingle monies.See More

See More
