Our Constitution has words I ponder daily.

The guarantees of "Life Liberty and pursuit of happiness." If we seek happiness in our lives then companionship and mates must be included. If this is true than equality in matrimony must also be included.

Marriage itself has certain built in privileges and without them the law is not equal to all. Marriage bonds folks into a family and a bond of love s...trengthens America not weakens it. Two people in love are never a thing of shame but of wonderful natural emotion of care for another human being. Sexual preferences are Genetic in base, at least all science has shown that to be probable and genes are shared by us all. No one should be targeted for genetic makeup and that includes my brothers and sisters in the Gay community.

Equality and egalita...

rianism takes on a stronger meanings when all people enjoy the benefits of those lofty words. Our long misguided puritanical agenda has caused countless misery over the years and even millenniums, and must stop now and allow fresh air of equality to rise and be breathed by all.

I recall how gay men were beaten in bus stations by teenage tough kids, and how even many parents were not offended when a gay was beaten. Police did not protect the community as it has learned to do in more recent times and draconian practices prevailed; leaving most gays in a deep closet of denial and isolation.

One cannot be happy and deny what nature dictates.

Our national happiness is also affected by the mean spirit of bashing any segment of the population as a national paradigm of accepted hate. This is a US national trait that needs to be left behind like a bad memory. Yes evolved passed and allowed to go the way of slavery and witch hunts banned for the good of the Nation..... I say the Gay community is part of the American fabric, always has been always will be....

And I am proud to call them friends and neighbors,,,,
